This project is investigating how to influence high risk groups, primarily young people interested in music, to protect against hearing loss and tinnitus. This includes development and release of tools such as an online interactive noise database, a noise risk calculator and the development of a smart phone application (app).
This project underpins activity of the HEARing CRC’s public health awareness initiative HEARsmart. As part of this work, we will also look at developing evidence-based principles for effective on-going public health awareness campaigns.
