Children’s acquisition of Mandarin tones in context
This project investigates issues related to the acquisition of Mandarin tones, including the citation tones and tonal variations in different context, e.g. neutral tone and tone sandhi phenomena. The population involves both typically developing children and children with hearing impairment. The realizations of these tonal phenomenon in the input to children will be investigated as well.
