Bio
Ben is a PhD candidate currently conducting research for both The Child Language Lab and The HEARing CRC at Macquarie University. A large part of Ben’s current project is to examine what effect hearing loss has on children’s understanding of inflectional morphology. Ben was awarded a BA in Philosophy and Linguistics from Sydney University in 2012, and went on to complete Honours in Linguistics at Macquarie University in 2013, for which he received the University Medal.

Ben’s research interest is finding out how young children acquire an understanding of the complex systems that underly language, and how hearing loss can affect this acquisition.
