Early language development in infants with and without hearing impairment

PhD Project

Irena is interested in early language development in infants with and without hearing impairment, particularly in role of infant-directed speech in language acquisition. There are many unanswered questions around infant-directed speech that are important for language acquisition in infants with and without hearing problems. This project will further investigate the optimal approaches to infant-directed speech in order to facilitate language development of children with a hearing loss, to provide valuable new information for parents and clinicians of hearing impaired infants.
