Adding realism to laboratory-based listening tests
PhD Project
Adam’s PhD project will explore, identify and verify factors that will further enhance the realism of current laboratory-based listening tests. This includes introducing aspects such as spontaneous speech, audio-visual integration or interference, or interactivity between the test subject and software. Using these approaches it will be possible to understand:
a) in which way these additional methods influence outcome measures; and
b) how closely these changes reflect real-life performance.
