The HEARing CRC offers a limited number of scholarships to students wanting to undertake further postgraduate research in the areas of hearing loss remediation, hearing technology development and hearing loss prevention. Research projects must be closely aligned with one of our research or commercialisation programs and supported or supervised by a relevant Project Leader.
Full and top-up scholarships are available from the HEARing CRC, these are administered through our academic Members:
- Macquarie University
- The University of Melbourne
- The University of Queensland
- The University of Western Sydney
- The University of Wollongong.
All PhD and Masters students within the CRC’s Postgraduate Program become valuable members of HEARing CRC project teams, and benefit from being a part of the graduate network and an extensive professional development program that includes an annual HEARing CRC Student Symposium.
Our students also benefit from being part of an organisation that links research, clinics and industry so they can experience different working environments and be part of research activity that is truly translational. We encourage students where possible to have both academic and industry-based supervisors to enhance their research experience.
Mentoring
A part of the HEARing CRC’s new Postgraduate Program is focused on mentoring. We are keen to link students who wish to find a professional mentor with an appropriate person in the HEARing CRC or broader community. This exciting new element to the Program will be offered and trialled with the new PhD student intake.
Watch the video below to find out from former students their experiences of doing a PhD with support from the HEARing CRC.
