HEARsmart is a HEARing CRC initiative dedicated to engaging Australians identified as having a greater risk of developing noise-induced hearing loss through leisure activities, for example music-lovers.
Through HEARsmart, the HEARing CRC is conducting research to develop new tools and strategies that help minimise noise-induced hearing loss. Our research is driving the development of activities and campaigns that target at-risk groups to increase understanding and awareness, and create behavioural changes to reduce or prevent this type of hearing loss.
These initiatives will target individuals and organisations, and will provide advice in the formulation of effective public policy in the hearing loss prevention space.
