Background

The Speech Referenced Limiting (SRL) algorithm has been developed through the HEARing CRC research project R3.6.1, please go to the linked project page to read more.

In July 2011, the research project migrated to become a HEARing CRC commercialisation project with the specific aims of:

  • refining the algorithm for different applications (e.g. use in telephone headsets, hearing aids, hearing protectors)
  • evaluating the benefit of using the SRL algorithm in these different applications
  • marketing for user benefit.
