Title: Lexical Tone Perception of Mandarin Speakers: Normal Hearing and Hearing Impaired.
Detail:
This study aims to investigate the different aspects of acoustic cues contributing to Mandarin lexical tone perception in people with normal-hearing and sensorineurally hearing-impaired native Mandarin speakers. This will inform the development of more suitable speech processing strategies that can be used in hearing devices so that Chinese cochlear implant and hearing aid users will derive greater benefits from the technology.
