Jane started out as a research scientist, completing a PhD and post-doctoral role in the field of Molecular Oncology. Having undertaken a range of voluntary activities (from working at science festivals to facilitating scientific debates), Jane switched careers to become a Science Communicator.

Over the last five years, Jane has worked on the development of scientific and clinical multimedia resources and more recently as the Program Manager for the Victorian State Government, focused on the translation of clinical cancer research into practice.
