About this Organisation
The Victorian Deaf Society (Vicdeaf) has been the main provider of community support, advisory and communication services to Deaf people in Victoria for 125 years, and hard of hearing people for more than 40 years).
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Deaf and hard of hearing people by breaking down communication barriers, improving access to services, increasing the status and participation of Deaf and hard of hearing people in society and providing specialist support, education, research and community services.
Services offered by Vicdeaf include audiology, hearing loss management, information, education, advocacy, case management, hearing screening, sign language classes, interpreting, counselling, independent living support, rehabilitation, research, and employment readiness.
