Excellence in Innovation Award

The HEARing CRC received a 2010 Award for Excellence in Innovation at the recent CRC Association conference in Alice Springs.
CRC-A Excellence in Innovation Award
The award was in recognition of the HEARing CRC's contribution to the successful development of Cochlear Limited's Cochlear™ Hybrid™ System, in particular for the development of the Hybrid-L electrode array. 

The award recognised the contributions of the HEARing CRC, and its Members Cochlear Limited, The University of Melbourne and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital - Cochlear Implant Clinic. The HEARing CRC was delighted that Ms Simone Jeha, Product Manager for the Hybrid System was able to attend the presentation to receive the award on behalf of Cochlear Limited. Presentation of the award trophies will be made to The University of Melbourne and Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in the coming week. 

A/Prof Robert Cowan said “I'd like to give my personal congratulations to all the research and engineering staff involved in the project, this is a very timely and wonderful recognition of the work being conducted across all of our Projects”.
