Commercialisation

The HEARing CRC research projects operate under a clearly written Project Charter, which includes an identified commercialisation/utilisation strategy. This strategy is updated annually and approved by the Board of Directors.

In most cases, the approach anticipates commercialisation through the industry partners directly involved as project participants, or through clinical uptake and use achieved through the network of end-user clinical and professional partners.

The Hearing CRC drives end-user understanding and where appropriate uptake of the technologies or products by:

  • interfacing with industry partners and clinical end-users (i.e. audiologists, other hearing healthcare professionals)
  • direct contact with adults and children using the technology
  • other approaches to communication and knowledge transfer

HEARworks is the commercial arm of the HEARing CRC, responsible for managing all intellectual property and commercial activity generated through the Centre. HEAR IP is the Trustee for the HEARing CRC IP Trust.
